Anita Sarkeesian (Canadian-American) is a feminist media critic also a speaker who is Canadian. She created Feminist Frequency, a site with videos and guest posts on the representations of women in pop media. Anita Sarkeesian was a Canadian and American feminist media critique. Feminist Frequency is a site to educate women about their positions in the pop culture narratives It is the brainchild of Anita Sarkeesian. She also serves as the executive director. The challenge of destroying stereotypes regarding women is her primary goals. In addition, Sarkeesian discusses issues of specifically targeted harassment online against women and for other groups who are left out. Sarkeesian holds a Masters in social and political thinking from York University.
