JoyceDeWitt began her stage career at age 13. She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree at Ball State University. Then, when she was performing in summer stock, the director convinced her to enroll in UCLA's Department of Theater MFA program,where she received the Master of Fine Arts Fellowship as well as the Clifton Webb Scholarship. Dewitt declared that she never ever met Abe Vigoda during her time at UCLA. DeWitt's role as Janet Wood in Three's Company's 1977-1984 run is her most famous. She was part of the pilot for the show and hired. Janet was also in an episode of The Ropers, which she appeared in during 1979. DeWitt made her acting debut in a scene in 1984 on Three's Company. The actress returned to acting in the role in a production of Noises Off at Michigan's Cherry County Playhouse in June 1991. [1] Later she was a part of the TV comedy Spring Fling! Pinky and the Brain featured characters an adaptation of her voice voice that was voiced by a different actress in 1997. She was in the episode Cybill. Six of her 2000s TV works included Hope Island and The Nick at Nite Holiday Special as and Call of the Wild.
